Gut & Hormones:

the keys to a better health

IMG_5788.JPG

About Me.

Based in Brussels, Belgium, I am a pharmacist by training - licensed in both Italy and Belgium - and a certified nutritional therapist.

My work revolves around two key areas that are fundamental to overall well-being, and where I dedicate my time and expertise to supporting patients:

  • The gut microbiota as a cornerstone of both physical and mental health.

  • The delicate hormonal balance in women, guiding each patient toward barrie health through personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

By integrating science-based nutrition with a holistic approach, my goal is to help patients regain control of their health, improve their vitality, and feel their best at every stage of life.

My interest in this field began with my own personal journey. Facing challenges with gut health and hormonal balance made me realise just how vital it is to nurture a healthy microbiota and adopt a conscious lifestyle that supports well-being naturally and sustainably. This experience fueled my passion for exploring the intricate connection between female hormones, gut health, energy levels, and overall vitality. This knowledge now shapes my approach, helping others regain balance, energy, and long-term health.

My approach is for you if ...

  • You're looking to boost your gut health and get a better grasp on how your microbiota ties into your overall well-being.

  • You're going through hormonal changes or issues—like menopause, PMS, thyroid problems, and so on—and you're looking for some help to manage them better.

  • You’re looking to avoid age-related issues by using natural and nutritional approaches.

  • You're searching for a way to enhance your sleep quality and get back your vitality and energy.

  • You're looking to pick up healthier and more sustainable daily habits that truly have a lasting impact.

  • You're seeking understanding and evidence-based support.

  • You want to feel listened to and supported by someone who gets the specific challenges of women's health.

  • You're ready to look after yourself in a holistic way, following a journey that combines nutrition, lifestyle, and active micronutrients.

If you see yourself in any of these situations, I'm here to help you manage your health, symptoms, and overall well-being better.

My Journey: from Sicily to Brussels

My personal and professional journey kicks off in Sicily, where I pursued a degree in Pharmacy with a focus on physiology and nutrition at the University of Palermo, just like my family did. But then, my journey took a turn towards the international scene: an internship in Brussels turned into a permanent move as I followed my heart and the future I wanted to create with my husband.

In Brussels, I began my career with European and international associations in the pharmaceutical and agri-food industries. It was during this time, while tackling nutrition-related issues, that I developed a strong interest in exploring how nutrition affects health. This led me to pursue an international master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, which was a demanding yet rewarding journey that shaped a new perspective on my profession.

Back in 2016, I made the leap to freelancing, mainly working with a European association focused on medical nutrition. During the Covid period, my journey took another turn: I decided to get certified as a nutritional therapist and enrolled in a course at CERDEN in Brussels, recognised by the European Federation for Education (FEDE). At the same time, I found myself increasingly interested in women's health. As I navigated my own challenges with hormonal balance, I realized just how crucial nutrition, gut microbiota, and a mindful lifestyle are for supporting well-being in a natural and sustainable way.

About Nutritional Therapy

What’s it all about?

Nutritional therapy focuses on enhancing health, boosting physical and mental performance, slowing down aging effects, reducing disease risks, and managing conditions through dietary guidance and the addition of active micronutrients.

Nutritional therapy aims to boost life expectancy while keeping health at its best, focusing on enhancing or restoring physiological functions through a holistic approach. The nutritional therapist focuses on micronutrients and their essential role in supporting optimal health.

About supplements & other products

Nutraceuticals, supplements, phytotherapeutics, and other over-the-counter products aren’t all created equal; they differ in both composition and production. It’s really important for patients or clients to stick to products that are of verified quality. Taking supplements should only happen when there’s a real need, especially if diet alone can’t meet those needs. Always follow the advice of a health professional, and think of supplementation as just the icing on the cake in your journey toward better health.

Also, supplements don’t provide instant results like medication; instead, they work over the medium to long term.
